Heater

 VAN UPGRADES

Improve Your Camping Experience

Being the owner of a campervan should be enjoyable. We're generally, happy, smiley people! Saying that, there will be times when you will want to heat the interior of your van when you're camping, especially in good old Blighty.

The robust heaters we install are the Webasto Air Top 2000 STC heaters. The benefits of these heaters are:

1. Uses the same fuel as your campervan and importantly, is very fuel efficient, 1 gallon of petrol = about 16 hours of run time.

2. The heaters have a very high heat output for such small packages and we know that every inch of space is precious, in such a small living area. The heaters are capable of about 7000 BTU/hr. This is more than enough, to heat up the inside of your van very quickly, turning it in to a cosy space on those chilly nights.

3. Almost all heaters that burn fuel to create heat, also create carbon monoxide as a byproduct. Carbon monoxide can be deadly, so having proper ventilation is extremely important, especially in a small space like a van. The Air Top 2000 STC, does a great job of minimizing the danger of carbon monoxide, because it separates the combustion air, from the air inside the van. The heater pulls fresh air from outside, which mixes with fuel inside the heater, to burn and create heat. The exhaust is then routed outside the van, carrying the carbon monoxide with it. Safety is at the forefront of these heaters and they do not disappoint.

The heater comes with a room temperature controller, with built in operation LED & diagnostic fault code indicator.

While fitting your heater, in addition we will install a carbon-monoxide alarm inside your van.

"Webasto has designed this heater to work optimally up to an altitude of 4,900 feet (the highest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis, at 4.441 feet). If you are intending on climbing some mountains, at high altitudes and will be using your van for these adventures, for an extended period of time, then we will need to discuss an alternative solution.

We would usually fit the heater to connect to your leisure battery but it can also be connected to the normal campervan battery."
